Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Warman, SK is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Grocery to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer service. 40 hours per week with open availability is required.

You will mentor staff, drive customer-first initiatives, manage stock, and implement growth strategies in a community-focused grocery setting. This role offers opportunities for training and advancement within a large Western Canadian retailer.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Food Safe Certification.
• Strong work ethic and a \"let’s get it done\" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.
