Foxglove Nurseries in Kelowna, BC is seeking a greenhouse labourer for a seasonal, full-time on-site role. You will support floriculture production, handle budding, pruning, transplanting, and heat/climate control within a greenhouse environment.

Ideal candidates have 7 months to under 1 year of related experience, English language skills, and a high school certificate or equivalent. Benefits include health coverage and free parking.

• 7 months to less than 1 year of related horticulture experience.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Budding trees.
• Clean the crops.
• Cut horticultural crops.
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• Greenhouse cleaning.
• Harvest seedlings.
• Operate climate controls.
• Seed cutting.
• Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• Weeding.
• Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants.
• Mix and prepare soils.
• Plant bulbs and seeds.
• Pot and re-pot plants.
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
• Assist in grafting activities.
