Job description

We are re-defining the fleet management industry to be people first, then business – delivering on our promise of a superior client experience. This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a collaborative individual to join our team as GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Compliance Manager. In this role, you will own the end-to-end greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting framework and approach, establishing the methodologies, controls, governance, and cross-functional requirements needed to deliver accurate, complete, supportable, and timely GHG disclosures. You will independently interpret evolving reporting requirements, direct their implementation across the reporting process, and be accountable for GHG reporting readiness, assurance readiness, compliance-risk identification, and continuous improvement of the organization’s GHG reporting capabilities. You will also provide functional leadership and professional direction across contributing functions for GHG reporting while operating with substantial autonomy on complex reporting, methodology, control, and assurance matters.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and govern the end-to-end GHG reporting framework, including reporting boundaries, methodologies, calculation approaches, documentation standards, data requirements, controls, and reporting calendars.
  • Determine the operating approach and drive consistent execution across contributing functions to produce accurate, complete, and supportable disclosures.
  • Independently interpret evolving global GHG and sustainability reporting requirements and voluntary reporting developments; assess applicability and significance, determine the appropriate GHG reporting response, and direct implementation of required changes.
  • Lead GHG reporting delivery and assurance readiness from source data through final disclosure support; establish evidence and quality expectations, resolve complex data or methodology issues, coordinate assurance activities, and drive timely remediation of findings.
  • Establish and continuously improve GHG reporting controls, data-quality standards, governance practices, and scalable processes.
  • Identify systemic gaps and lead significant process, automation, and control improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, traceability, and reporting readiness across the organization.
  • Provide professional direction across functions on complex or ambiguous GHG matters, including methodology, controls, reporting judgments, climate transition plan modelling, emissions projections, progress against GHG targets, and product-level emissions data capabilities.
  • Guide stakeholders on required approaches and develop scalable methods that support decision-useful information and consistent execution.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in sustainability reporting, GHG tabulation and reporting, accounting and financial reporting, internal controls design/evaluation, risk management, data management, or a related area.
  • Experience applying sustainability reporting standards and frameworks, including the GHG Protocol and other relevant reporting frameworks, to complex reporting matters.
  • Experience independently leading complex reporting, compliance, assurance-readiness, process, or control initiatives across multiple functions, including establishing approaches and driving implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex or evolving requirements, exercise independent professional judgment, and translate conclusions into practical methodologies, controls, processes, and stakeholder direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver significant projects or reporting milestones with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fleet management industry experience.
  • Relevant professional certification such as CPA, CFA, CIA, Certified Sustainability Practitioner (CSP), Greenhouse Gas Management Institute diploma, or equivalent.
  • Experience with data analysis, process mapping, and presentation tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
