Job summary

Alberta Paving Ltd is seeking a professional truck driver to operate and maintain heavy vehicles across remote locations in Canada. The role requires ensuring vehicle condition, completing logbooks, and securing cargo while traveling extensively.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience, valid Class 1 license, air brakes endorsement, and applicable safety certifications. Willingness to travel and work remotely with room and board provided may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Complete logbooks and reports
