Qualifications

  • 3+ months of educational or work experience in computer architecture, lab equipment, Windows/Linux OS.
  • Experience with Windows drivers, OS error logs, and Linux/Windows command line.

Responsibilities

  • Execute platform and board validation tasks and develop test plans.
  • Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and assist in debugging issues.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure platform readiness.
  • Support configuration testing and manufacturability assessments for DCG platforms.
  • Participate in benchmarking and validation of power and thermal characteristics.
  • Contribute to hands-on projects and apply validation knowledge to Intel goals.

The Role and Impact Are you interested in GPUs, computer hardware, and understanding how complex systems work? As a Graphics Hardware Validation Undergraduate Engineering Intern you will gain hands-on experience validating Intel's discrete graphics platforms and helping ensure their functionality, performance, quality, and product readiness. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and execute validation tests, analyze results, investigate hardware and software issues, and support system-level debugging. You'll gain practical exposure to GPU and PC architecture, discrete graphics, laboratory equipment, Python automation, power and thermal validation, PCIe, operating systems, and system-level troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to apply what you've learned through coursework, labs, research, personal projects, or prior internship experience to real-world engineering challenges.

What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Execute platform and board validation tasks, including developing and implementing test plans to assess functionality and performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree. Candidate must also have 3+ months of educational or work experience with the following:

  • Computer architecture or computer organization.
  • Experience with Lab equipment such as supplies/ oscilloscopes/ multimeters/ power supplies/ etc.
  • Experience with Windows drivers, operating systems, error logs, setting up/ configuring programs or experience with Linux operating systems and windows command line.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems.
  • Knowledge of current leading PC technology.
  • Familiar with PC x86 architecture and excellent system level knowledge including CPU processor, multimedia, memory, PCIe, display technologies, power management, 3D graphics.
  • Experience in building your own PC and computer hardware.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
