Grant Development Coordinator

Location: Hybrid Work – Based in Edmonton

Status: Permanent, Full-time

Support the Centre's financial sustainability by creating compelling, evidence-based proposal packages that demonstrate our impact on newcomers and the community. Your work will directly support our Strategic Plan priorities of sustainability, service excellence, and innovation, building an empowered future for all.

The Opportunity
  • Maintain and enhance grant tracking and reporting systems.
  • Research and pursue new funding opportunities aligned with our mission.
  • Lead and coordinate proposal development across teams.
  • Build authentic, lasting relationships with funders and partners.
  • Tell powerful, human-centered stories using data and evidence.
  • Apply program evaluation tools to measure and share impact and success.
  • Embrace and champion work/life effectiveness, new technologies, and innovative ways of working.
What it Takes

While all backgrounds will be considered, the most relevant experience includes:

  • A Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, Community Development, Sociology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in grant writing, community development, program coordination, fundraising, research and evaluation, communications, or nonprofit/public sector engagement.
  • Strong grant writing and proposal development skills, with experience in the Settlement Sector as an asset.
  • Excellence in storytelling, research, writing, and project management.
  • Knowledge of government, foundation, and corporate funding processes.

Additional assets include:

  • Training or certification in grant writing, fundraising, or management (e.g., Management Development, Advanced Grant Writing).
  • Professional designations like GPC/GPCI or CFRE.
