Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. in Princeton, BC is seeking experienced Grader Operators for a Copper Mountain Mine project.

You will operate a Komatsu 955 grader and may handle a Komatsu HD1500 Haul truck, performing earthworks, site preparation, and routine maintenance in rough terrain. This temporary, project-based role runs about 18 months with 7-on/7-off shifts, offers $44–$49 per hour, and includes a living-out allowance for workers away from home.

Qualifications

• Level 1 First Aid.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to dig, move, and grade earth and materials.
• Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and debris clearance on equipment daily.
• Assist with road prep, snow removal, sanding, and watering to ensure accessibility and maintenance.
• Provide internal and external customer service excellence.
• Travel to other job sites if necessary.

Job Description

Our Arrow Project Services team is looking for experienced Grader Operators for a project at Princeton's Copper Mountain Mine.

The Grader Operator will perform heavy-duty tasks on a mine site, including excavation, earthworks, and site preparation. The Grader Operator will work in rough, uneven terrain while being exposed to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Safety will be a primary focus, as the operator works in proximity to heavy machinery, other workers, and potential hazards associated with mining operations.

This position will primarily operate a Komatsu 955 grader, but may also operate a Komatsu HD1500 Haul truck or other equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to dig, move, and grade earth and materials
• Performloggedinspections,routinemaintenance,andclearingawaydebris(tracks, in cab, under screener)on equipmentdaily
• Assistwith road prep,snow removal,sanding,and watering to ensure the facility is accessible andmaintainedthrough the season
• Regular manual labour to clean andmaintainthe facility and equipment
• Provide internal and external customer service excellence
• Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements
• Provide feedback to employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard,shop, department, or work crew
• May be asked to travel to other job sites to assist if necessary
• Ability to understand cross training on all functions at site
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Previous relevant experience operating various heavy equipment in a civil construction environment
• Level 1 First Aid
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Rock Truck, Dozer, or Loader experience is an asset
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience working with computers is an asset

Employment Details

• Job Status Temporary full time - Project-based role with an anticipated 18-month project starting in mid-August. Project duration may be extended or shortened based on client and operational requirements
• Location Princeton, BC
• Living out allowance provided for eligible employees working away from their home location
• Rotational pay may be available for eligible employees
• Competitive pay $44 - $49/hr
• Shift 7 days on 7 days off - Rotating dayshift and nightshifts
• This position is subject to an averaging agreement with a 2-week averaging period
