The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east, covering more than 250 kilometers of beautiful British Columbia.
We are a culturally diverse faith‑based family. We offer more than a place of work – we provide a call to your teaching vocation where you can work and live your faith in a supportive community.
We are a vibrant school system with many expansion projects planned for the future. Our teachers enjoy spiritual and professional growth and mentorship opportunities to help them transition into the CISVA.
Originally founded by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd (Les Soeurs du Bon‑Pasteur), École St‑Sacrement (ESS) is a Roman Catholic, French‑immersion elementary school (K‑7) situated near Vancouver General Hospital. It serves approximately 200 students in a historically French‑Canadian neighbourhood adjacent to Vancouver’s only francophone church, Paroisse St‑Sacrement. Parents actively participate in school events, logging around 40 hours of involvement per year. The school focuses on educating the whole child – spiritually, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We are a community of students, educators, families and parishioners committed to instilling a passion for learning, love of French and dedication to our Catholic faith.
Grade 1 French Immersion certified teacher grounded in Catholic faith, with a strong passion for coaching team sports. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who is enthusiastic about working with colleagues to support student growth both in and beyond the classroom.
