Job summary

Assumption School in Powell River, BC, part of the CISVA, seeks a teacher for 0.8 FTE (4 days/week) for the 2026-2027 year. The successful candidate will collaborate with staff, engage with diverse learners, and bring a passion for Catholic education.

Assumption Catholic School is located in Powell River, BC in the qat̓ᶿɛt. region Our tight knit faith based school community enrolls approximately 100 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 taught by our vibrant staff. JOB DESCRIPTION

Assumption School is seeking a teacher (0.8 FTE – 4 days/week) for the 2026-2027 school year.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other staff members as well as have experience working with a diverse range of learners and have a passion for teaching. While all applications will be reviewed, only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview. Questions regarding the position are welcome.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• have a current pastoral reference that they are active in a Catholic parish
• have a certificate of qualification issued by the BC Ministry of Education
