Job summary

Bay Ferries Limited is recruiting GP Stewards for casual positions aboard MV Fundy Rose, a year-round ferry service across the Bay of Fundy between Digby, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick.

Stewards ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, assist with embarkation and disembarkation, and engage customers to provide information and friendly service while cleaning public areas and crew spaces. This role is casual and may lead to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the passenger ship industry.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a just-cause safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard.
• Assist with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.
• Clean public areas, washrooms and crew areas.
• Provide information, assistance and professional, friendly customer service.
• May perform other general-purpose duties, such as deckhand.

Thisis a casual, unlicensed position and may lead to a full-time position.

Descriptionof role:

Stewardsensure the safety and comfort of our passengers while onboard and undertakecleaning of the public areas, washroom and crew areas of the vessel. Theyassist with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, and engage withcustomers to provide information, assistance and overall professional, friendlycustomer service. Stewards may also be required to perform otherGeneral-Purposeduties, such as Deckhand.

Required certifications:

• Valid Seafarers Marine Medical
