BayFerries Limited is currently recruiting GP Stewards for casual positions on MV Fundy Rose, a year-round ferry service across the Bay of Fundy between Digby, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick.

This is a casual, unlicensed position that may lead to a full-time role. Stewards ensure passenger safety and comfort, assist with embarkation/disembarkation and engage with customers with professional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in passenger ship operations or hospitality.
• Strong safety and customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passenger safety and comfort onboard.
• Assist with embarkation and disembarkation.
• Clean public areas, washrooms and crew spaces.
• Provide information and assistance to passengers.

Descriptionof role:

Stewardsensure the safety and comfort of our passengers while onboard and undertakecleaning of the public areas, washroom and crew areas of the vessel. Theyassist with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, and engage withcustomers to provide information, assistance and overall professional, friendlycustomer service. Stewards may also be required to perform otherGeneral-Purposeduties, such as Deckhand.

Required certifications:

• Valid Candidate Document Number (CDN#)
• Valid Seafarers Marine Medical
• STCW's 6.1, 6.2

• Proven track record of safe operations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a just-cause safety culture.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
