Deerhurst Resort in Muskoka is seeking a Golf & Grounds Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of course equipment, utility vehicles, tractors, and small engines. You will report to the Golf Course Associate Superintendent and Grounds Manager to keep the fleet safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing golf course equipment or heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, diesel and gasoline systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on golf course and grounds equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and gasoline systems.
• Maintain and service reel and bedknife grinding units.
• Maintain accurate service records and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist with equipment preparation throughout the golf season and winter maintenance program.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.
• Work with Golf Course Maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability.
