Job summary

Ledcor is hiring an experienced Scheduler for a landmark GO Transit project in Markham, Ontario. This site-based role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed project schedules from startup through closeout, tracking progress, and coordinating with multiple teams to keep milestones and budgets on track.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in scheduling or project controls within construction, with post-secondary education in CM/Engineering/PM preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Scheduler/Planner/Project Controls in construction.
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, PM, or related field preferred.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure or transit projects valued at $15M+.
• Metrolinx experience highly regarded and preferred.
• Knowledge of scheduling standards, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience developing work packages and planning initiatives on construction projects.
• Proficient with MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and coordinate detailed project schedules from startup through closeout.
• Track progress, analyze data, monitor critical path, report impacts to stakeholders.
• Manage baseline schedule changes and provide timely reporting.
• Lead FIWP development and auditing for safe, efficient project execution.
• Analyze milestones and deadlines, assess impacts on schedule and performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to align objectives and execution strategies.
• Support project startup/closeout processes, turnover docs, and site demobilization.
• Coordinate with safety and project teams on the Project Specific Safety Program.
• Lead quantity takeoffs and ensure alignment with contract scope.
• Mentor team members in document control and recordkeeping.
• Prepare schedule updates, forecasts, and performance analyses for leadership.
• Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
