Job summary

u-blox is seeking a GNSS Engineer to join Calgary-based teams, with hybrid work options. You will advance high-precision positioning algorithms and collaborate across product teams to deliver centimeter-level accuracy for robotics and autonomous machines worldwide.

You will apply deep GNSS expertise, mentor colleagues, influence roadmaps, and translate complex customer problems into robust solutions. The role welcomes candidates with a passion for practical problem solving and strong

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing high-precision GNSS products for various market segments (e.g., Survey, Mapping, Construction, Agriculture)
  • Expertise in solving complex engineering problems with practical solutions
  • Strong ability to productize in C/C++
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives without formal authority
  • Excellent communication – from translating technical discussion to POs to whiteboarding sessions with peers

Responsibilities

  • Act as a GNSS algorithms engineer to architect and develop positioning systems.
  • Participate in next-generation initiatives in high-precision GNSS positioning, prototype, validate and develop production-grade systems
  • Support shaping and executing the technical roadmap with Product Owners and other engineers
  • Work in cross business unit teams to support end-to-end algorithm implementation and ensure product success
  • Collaborate with engineers across the business unit to scale impact through teamwork

GNSS Engineer

Location: Calgary (Canada) or any u-blox office (hybrid)

You will be one of the engineers within u-blox’s teams expanding portfolio of high-precision positioning, work in cross-team initiatives, collaborate with fellow engineers, and dive into algorithms. Your work will directly influence how industrial robotics and autonomous machines achieve centimeter-level accuracy worldwide.

Your Responsibilities
  • Act as a GNSS algorithms engineer to architect and develop positioning systems.
  • Participate in next-generation initiatives in the field of high-precision GNSS positioning, and rapidly prototype, validate and develop production-grade systems
  • Support shaping and executing the technical roadmap with Product Owners and other engineers
  • Work in cross business unit teams to support end-to-end algorithm implementation and ensure overall product success
  • Collaborate with engineers across the business unit, scale your impact through engineering and teamwork excellence
Your Skills and Experience
