Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a GNSS Algorithm Engineer in Calgary, Alberta, to develop and refine high-performance positioning algorithms in collaboration with the ALGO group. You will analyze data, explore AI-driven methods for tuning, and support customers during integration with their systems.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, GNSS modeling knowledge, and experience with optimization methods.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Geomatics, Electrical, or Software Engineering with 3+ years of industrial experience or graduate degrees.
• Understanding GNSS error modeling fundamentals.
• Understanding linear and non-linear optimization and computational numerical methods.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to research, develop, and enhance NovAtel’s industry-leading positioning algorithms.
• Respond to in-depth customer support questions.
• Build automation tools that analyze regression results, identify what changed, link performance shifts to parameter updates, and recommend next tuning actions.
• Collaborate with verification designers to develop automated test suites.
