Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Director of Corporate Underwriting and Claims Risk Management. This hybrid role partners across the Sun Life Enterprise to lead mortality/morbidity risk programs and ensure compliance with risk guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an individual Life Underwriter across multiple lines of business.
• Experience with multiple distribution channels.
• Bilingualism (French, English) for Quebec interactions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage redesigns of mortality/morbidity risk programs within the underwriting framework.
• Develop performance tools to ensure compliance with Underwriting Operating Guideline.
• Assess mortality/morbidity experience and report findings with recommended actions.
• Provide expert guidance on complex underwriting cases within approval authority.
