Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Student Analyst for an 8-month internship in Global Transaction Banking, based in Toronto. You will work with our Payments group within Capital Markets to serve a diverse client base including retail, wealth, corporate, and institutional clients globally.

As part of the team, you will gain exposure to correspondent banking, cash management, liquidity advisory, and cross-sell opportunities while contributing to strategic projects and client relationships.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, or related at the time of the internship and are on track to complete your undergrad or grad program no sooner than December 2027.
• Location: Toronto.
• Duration of Work Term: 8 months (January 2027 - August 2027).

Responsibilities

• Support the team with payment clearing relationships with global partner banks and payment product support for the Global Trade and Banking team.
• Assist with process improvements to manage foreign currency clearing arrangements and optimize service quality.
• Identify sales opportunities for payment products across Capital Markets.
