Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking a Data Analyst student for a Winter 2027 placement in the Personal Banking team. You will transform data into actionable insights and support business storytelling using BI tools.

This 4- to 12-month opportunity offers exposure to SQL, Python, R, Tableau and Power BI, with projects across payment innovation, customer data management, and loyalty programs. You will present findings to partners and senior leadership, building analytics and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for data and a desire to drive business growth through insights.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and interpret data to support meaningful and actionable insights that drive business growth.
• Work with BI tools to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
• Develop creative problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex business challenges.
• Refine communication and presentation skills by presenting findings to business partners and senior management.
• Engage with data lifecycle activities, including pipelines, feature engineering, data deep dives, and model development.
