about this team

The Global Trade Compliance team is an integral part of lululemon’s supply chain and is responsible for supporting import/export operations throughout our global network. The team contributes to lululemon’s success by ensuring efficient and on-time customs clearance of lululemon products, while leveraging duty optimization strategies and ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations. The Global Trade Compliance Specialist is a key role that will support the team with important trade compliance and optimization functions related to tariff classification, trade agreements, country of origin, and valuation.

a day in the life

This role will support the Global Trade Compliance team in ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while ensuring that risks and opportunities are identified and managed efficiently. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide complete and accurate regional tariff classification of lululemon products through targeted research, analysis and regulatory guidance.
  • Support on the management, maintenance and monitoring of trade compliance inboxes to ensure timely correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support day-to-day global trade activities of the organization on trade topics such as classification, origin, valuation, FTA and other critical import trade compliance functions.
  • Contribute to, and support trade compliance projects and initiatives
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders such as cross functional teams, finished good vendors, customs brokers, and 3PL providers.

qualifications

  • One to two years of relevant trade experience within global trade and customs with a concentration in tariff classificationand/or trade agreement solicitation and qualification
  • Prior experience in apparel/textiles within a retail organization an asset
  • Strong analytical/investigative skills and a proven work ethic
  • A desire to do more than is expected
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate large and complex data sets
  • Previous experience using a Global Trade Management Platform (GTMP)
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and/or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) an asset

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this positionis from$66,000 - 86,600 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
