Job summary

Xona Space Systems, a Montreal-based facility, seeks a proactive Supply Chain Manager to establish and lead our supply chain function, coordinating with our California HQ. You will own procurement, supplier management, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics, while defining future organization and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, logistics, operations, or a related area.
• Fluency in English and French, spoken and written, to communicate with employees, suppliers, customers, and partners in Quebec and Canada.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada; US Person is an asset.
• Experience managing multiple supply chain activities, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, PLM/PDM, and configuration management.
• Experience with QMS and ideally MES.
• Experience developing or improving supply chain processes, systems, reporting, and controls.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, planning, warehousing, logistics, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work strategically and hands-on in a growing environment.
• Autonomy and ability to manage ambiguity and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the California supply chain team to harmonize strategy, structure, policies, processes, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate practices and identify opportunities to improve service, cost, quality, inventory, and delivery.
• Develop standard operating procedures for purchasing, planning, inventory, receiving, warehousing, and supplier management.
• Implement tools, systems, reporting, and controls to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, planning, warehousing, logistics, supplier activities, and supplier audits.
• Establish strong supplier relations and evaluate supplier performance to diversify sourcing.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to support R&D and prototyping.
• Define priorities, build structure, and own a broad operational mandate.
• Work independently balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution.
• Collaborate effectively with suppliers, carriers, internal teams, and leadership.
