Job summary

Sarens Canada is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and support the maintenance department with exceptional service. You will design and develop engineering drawings, lifting and rigging plans, and transport arrangements, and stamp drawings as required.

You will produce equipment calculations and operational procedures, and may supervise on-site operations and execute engineering on site. A P.E. license in Ontario or a Canadian Engineering Order is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or another Canadian Engineering Order.
• 1–5 years of experience as a project engineer or project manager in the heavy lifting industry, crane or transportation.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• 3D software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering drawings, such as lifting plans, rigging plans and transport arrangements.
• Produce equipment calculations and operational procedures.
• Stamp drawings according to requirements and design.
• Supervise on-site operations if required.
• Responsible for executing engineering on site.
