Job summary

Zip is hiring a Principal Product Manager for the Payments team to own the systems and strategy powering Zip's global payments infrastructure. You will drive product development across bank integrations, provider partnerships, payout management, and risk controls at enterprise scale.

You will partner with Engineering, Design, Payment Operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure payment capabilities across tens of billions in annual spend in 40+ currencies and 130+

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience.
• Experience on payments infrastructure, fintech, bank integrations, risk/fraud, or financial compliance is required.
• Ability to break down complex payment and risk problems into structured components.
• Technical fluency for collaboration with engineering on integration architectures and data systems.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the payments platform strategy and roadmap across bank integrations, providers, and routing for multi-currency global spend.
• Drive risk reduction including an AI-powered fraud detection system and fraud metrics.
• Oversee bank account verification, provider coverage, and real-time verification.
• Lead onboarding automation and customer-facing workflows to speed go-live.
• Define strategy for payment method management with multi-provider support.
• Modernize payments platform to expand rails and improve reliability at scale.
• Drive currency localization across all payment surfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to translate requirements into high-quality capabilities.
