Job summary

Brock University seeks an International Partnerships Coordinator to advance global engagement by developing and managing international agreements, student and faculty mobility, and collaborative initiatives. You will liaison between Brock International, academic units, and external partners to align partnerships with institutional priorities.

Responsibilities include advising on policies, negotiating MOUs, and tracking partnership outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in academic advising, program development and/or partnership development/maintenance in a post-secondary environment.
  • Experience advising Academic Chairs, international partners and other university units about opportunities related to international partnership models.
  • Knowledge of diverse international educational systems and partnership models.
  • Understanding of transfer to post-secondary education.
  • Knowledge of university governance, policies/procedures, academic calendars.
  • Knowledge of articulation agreements, pathway opportunities, and transfer policy processes.
  • Promotes inclusivity and respect in the workplace and community.
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material in a high volume environment.
  • Ability to manage relationships, communicate tactfully and diplomatically, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects, deadlines, and schedules independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen international relationships and networks supporting Brock's priorities.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new international partnerships, pathways, and dual degree programs.
  • Support development, negotiation, implementation, and renewal of MOUs and articulation agreements.
  • Advise faculty and staff on policies, compliance, governance, and best practices for partnerships.
  • Assist in assessing transfer pathways and credit equivalencies.
  • Serve as primary contact for international partnership inquiries and maintain relationships with partner institutions.
  • Ensure partnerships align with Brock's strategic international goals.
  • Identify barriers and risks and recommend solutions.
  • Promote international funding and collaboration opportunities with faculty and partners.
  • Coordinate processes for partnership requests, approvals, renewals, and implementation.
  • Maintain records related to agreements and engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness and alignment of partnerships.
  • Research international higher education trends and partner opportunities.
