Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is seeking a Winter Analyst for a 4‑month term in Toronto. You will join the Global Markets team to learn and contribute to pricing, structuring and research across multiple asset classes, supporting senior professionals and clients.

This role emphasizes analytics, collaboration and integrity. Location is Toronto with a 37.5-hour week and a base salary of $100,000 CAD annually.

Join our Global Markets team as a Winter Analyst in this 4-month role and become part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBCs retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. Location and duration

Location: Toronto. All CIBC Co‑op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term. Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed Term). Weekly Hours: 37.5. Duration: 4 months (January 2027 - April 2027). The expected annualized base salary for this role is $100,000.

How you'll succeed

• Passion for financial markets – Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.
• Process oriented – Present detailed analysis, financial modeling, structuring, and research to support senior professionals and help to identify opportunities to win business, execute transactions, automate existing processes and develop new businesses.
• Communication – Partner with your team to make an impact by applying a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes. Showcase highly effective written, oral and presentation skills with an ability to explain complex concepts.
• Relationship management – Provide excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to contribute to high-performance teams and demonstrate a commitment to acting with integrity.

Who you are

• You have demonstrated interest in Capital Markets. You are highly motivated, accomplished and a success-oriented individual who has a keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry demonstrated through school courses, clubs and/or related work experience.
• You're digitally savvy. You have proficient technical skills and can demonstrate experience using Excel and general coding practices. It’s an asset if you have experience using Python, VBA or SQL.
• You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
• You're driven to succeed. You can multi-task with the best of them, constructively push the status quo, and deliver competing project-based and operational demands in a dynamic environment.
