Job summary

As a member of the Global Markets team, you’ll be delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC’s retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. The expected annualized base salary for this role is $100,000. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Important information

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related at the time of the internship, with a graduation date no sooner than August 2027. Please indicate your expected graduation date on your resume. Location: Calgary (Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBc Co-op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term)

Duration of Work Term: 4 months (January 2027 - April 2027). This posting will close on September 18th at 11:59PM EST.

  • Passion for financial markets - Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.
  • Project management - Take the lead with projects and tasks that will provide the opportunity to learn about the Capital Markets industry and to develop the skills required for solid financial analysis.
  • Reporting and analysis - Gain valuable knowledge of the process involved in writing research reports, forecasting, researching and analyzing companies, industries and market trends.
  • Communication - Partner with your team to make an impact by applying a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes. Showcase highly effective written, oral and presentation skills with an ability to explain complex concepts.
