Job summary

CIBC, located in Toronto, is seeking a candidate for our Global Markets Equity Research team. You will gain exposure across industry coverage including Financial Institutions, Mining, Real Estate, Technology, Healthcare and more while delivering research insights.

The role requires MBA or Master’s enrollment with a graduation date after December 2027, a strong footing in financial reporting, and the ability to work on-site full-time in Toronto during a 4‑month term (May 2027 - August 2027).

As a member of the Global Markets team, you’ll be delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC’s retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. The expected annualized base salary for this role is $125,000.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. How You’ll Succeed

• Passion for financial markets – Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.
• Project management – Take the lead with projects and tasks that will provide the opportunity to learn about the Capital Markets industry and to develop the skills required for solid financial analysis.
• Reporting and analysis - Gain valuable knowledge of the process involved in writing research reports, forecasting, researching and analyzing companies, industries, and market trends.
