Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of progressive experience in people analytics and data management.
• Expert understanding of data management, big data, analytics and reporting tools including PowerBI and coding languages.
• Experience leading applied employee research and behavioral science knowledge.
• Strong statistics knowledge (SAS, SPSS), data mining (MS SQL) and BI software.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
• Leadership and communication skills to manage multiple activities and projects.
• Integrity and high attention to detail with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication with senior internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation of Global HR’s data, analytics, reporting and visualization capabilities.
• Drive applied employee research, data mining and predictive modeling to improve workforce insights.
• Lead advanced analytics to support data-driven decisions across the business.
• Collaborate with IT to build data pipelines and leverage AI, ML and cloud tools.
• Develop a program to increase data literacy across Global HR.
• Oversee data strategies, governance and security aligned with the bank’s framework.
• Establish data quality rules and monitoring; address data quality issues promptly.
• Nurture a high-performing team aligned with the bank’s values of collaboration and respect.
• Manage direct reports and the broader department to meet objectives.
• Create a vision and culture that encourages teamwork and engagement across the team.
• Implement a people strategy to attract, develop and retain talent within Scotiabank.
