Job summary

Sedgwick in Ontario seeks an experienced Expert General Executive/Adjuster General Executive to lead complex international claims. You will investigate, document, interview and assess coverage, aiming for fair settlements with claimants, and support legal actions when needed.

The role requires a strong background in multi-lines insurance, excellent communication, and rigorous attention to detail, with travel as needed to fulfill responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must hold IIA-AIC designation and pursue further insurance qualifications.
• 8 years of related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate international indemnity claims of any size or complexity.
• Examine claims forms and documents to determine insurance coverage.
• Interview or correspond with claimants and witnesses.
• Estimate cost of repair, replacement, or indemnification.
• Prepare reports and negotiate settlements with claimants.
• Advise legal on pursuing litigation when settlement is not achievable.
• Attend litigations as needed.
• Review case reserves and prepare loss reports.
