Job summary

Munich Re is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to join the Global Actuarial Consulting Group in Toronto. You will lead projects, develop pricing models, and support global life/health reinsurance initiatives.

The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and cross‑regional collaboration in a hybrid work environment. You will drive experience studies, actuarial assumptions, and financial reporting across multiple bases while growing into a people manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
• FSA/FCIA designation, held for at least one year.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience in life/health insurance or reinsurance.
• Demonstrates leadership by owning outcomes and guiding discussions to practical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and workstreams from planning through delivery.
• Develop and enhance actuarial/financial models for life/health reinsurance across regions.
• Support pricing analysis for new and existing reinsurance opportunities.
• Perform experience studies and help set actuarial assumptions.
• Conduct valuation and financial reporting under multiple accounting bases.
• Analyze and visualize data to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Support risk analysis, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis of financial results.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal clients and Munich Re leadership.
