Job summary

Munich Re in Toronto is seeking a Senior Actuarial Associate for North American Model Development (Valuation). You will design, implement, test, and quantify impacts of AXIS-based valuation models, supporting financial reporting for Life & Health Reinsurance in Canada and the US.

This role offers exposure to diverse lines and collaborative project work. You will work with Pricing, ERM, Biometric Research, Reinsurance Operations and Business Transformation, presenting results to senior management

Qualifications

University degree in actuarial science, finance, statistics or mathematics.
ASA progressing to FSA with strong technical aptitude.
Experience with AXIS, SQL Server, Datalink and Excel/Power Query/BI.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and quantify impacts of model enhancements and AXIS functionality for financial reporting.
Implement new treaties and pricing-based models into the valuation standard model and analyze impacts.
Present technical modeling changes and financial results to Corporate Actuarial.
Maintain North American valuation modeling standards and adapt to best practices.
Ensure documentation of models, processes and systems under risk controls.
Foster collaboration within the model development team and with other departments.
Contribute to cross-functional company projects to improve understanding and efficiency.
