Job summary

IFAC in Toronto is seeking a Global Accounting Policy and Professional Engagement Manager to advance global public policy, regulatory affairs, and external advocacy with a focus on technical accounting, assurance, and ethics standards.

Reporting to the Head of Advocacy, Regulatory and Policy, you will coordinate Advisory Groups, prepare policy materials, and engage with PAIB, SMP, and SME communities while building relationships with member organizations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA highly preferred.
• 5+ years in administration, public policy, regulatory affairs, advocacy, or a global professional services organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex material.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, project management software) and use of AI applications.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret qualitative and quantitative data for decision‑making.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, cultures, and levels of seniority.
• Experience with content management systems and social media tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate IFAC’s Advisory Groups ensuring alignment and messaging.
• Draft and edit policy papers, briefs, and external communications for global advocacy.
• Research regulatory developments affecting the global accountancy profession.
• Develop meeting materials and senior leadership briefings.
• Coordinate internal policy and advocacy initiatives across departments.
• Shape agendas and deliver presentations for conferences and forums for PAIB, SMP, and SME perspectives.
• Maintain records, databases, and documentation related to regulatory tracking and activities.
