Job summary

MNP LLP in Toronto is seeking a Designated Professional to join our Accounting Advisory Services team. The role focuses on technical accounting advisory services across significant transactions, new standards, and complex reports, delivering guidance for regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff while engaging with client management to drive robust financial reporting and IPO readiness where applicable.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting.
• Experience auditing public companies in Canada or the US.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and ASPE accounting standards.
• Solid understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting advisory services on significant transactions and new accounting standards.
• Support clients in go-public journeys, milestones, and regulatory financial reporting readiness.
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare client documentation.
• Prepare financial statements and accompanying notes.
• Collaborate with other service lines for integrated advisory solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and engage with client management.
