Job summary

A municipal utility provider in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a GIS Technician to manage and maintain geographic datasets for utility networks. This full-time role requires advanced expertise in GIS systems and relevant software. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in Geographic Information Systems and at least 3 years of related experience. Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of GIS systems including ESRI ArcGIS.
• 3+ years’ related experience working with ESRI software.
• Post-secondary diploma in related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain geographic datasets for various utility networks.
• Create online applications for operational data.
• Conduct field verification and update GIS as needed.
• Perform quality assurance on the GIS database.

Intermediate experience operating GPS Receivers
