Job description

Pinchin is seeking an experienced GIS System Administrator to join the Integrated Digital Services (IDS) Team. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s Geographic Information System (GIS) infrastructure, including overseeing GIS software, databases, and related technologies. The position also provides technical support and training to users.

What You’ll Do at Pinchin :

1. Manage and administer GIS & ETL platforms, databases, and servers.
2. Develop and implement GIS data management policies, standards, and procedures.
3. Support and maintain Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server, and perform system upgrades.
4. Document and manage user guides, work processes, and server configurations.
5. Provide technical insights and recommendations for GIS policies and software purchases.
6. Perform data acquisition, conversion, integration, and quality control tasks.
7. Design and maintain GIS data layers, maps, and applications in Esri enterprise portal.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS & FME software, hardware, and data.
9. Collaborate with IT to address GIS platform security needs.
10. Stay current with GIS industry trends and best practices.
11. Assist in GIS project development and implementation.
12. Manage ArcGIS software patching cycles.
13. Manage Active Directory objects for GIS authentication and authorization.
14. Integrate data from other systems to support customer needs.
15. Ensure data security and compliance with policies and laws.
16. Develop system processes, standards, and documentation for the GIS department.
17. Code in SQL, JS, Python, and Arcade.
18. Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to Pinchin:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Geography, or related field, with at least 8 years of experience.
2. Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise Platform (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Server, SDE) and AutoCAD.
3. Experience in data integration, geodatabases, and managing geospatial datasets.
4. Knowledge of data integration from various sources.
5. Experience with ETL tools like Safe Software FME.
6. Proficiency in programming with Python, JS, or R, and complex SQL commands.
7. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Excellent reading, comprehension, and communication skills.
9. Organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
10. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle.
