Job summary

Stratford District Council is seeking a GIS Specialist to lead the management, development, and continuous improvement of spatial data and GIS products. You will provide technical expertise, training, and leadership across Council, delivering solutions in both desktop and web environments.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years GIS experience, strong ArcGIS skills, data integration capability, and excellent communication with stakeholders in a dynamic council setting; willingness to train users

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a GIS role, ideally in a council or similar organisation.
• Strong GIS expertise, particularly ArcGIS desktop and web environments; experience in spatial data management, data integration, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management, development, and continuous improvement of Council's spatial data, GIS products, and services.
