Job summary

The Town of Caledon is seeking a Coordinator, GIS to operate and maintain the Enterprise GIS environment, lead the GIS team, and coordinate GIS initiatives to support the Town’s operations. You will design workflows, manage data quality, and ensure integration with other enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of GIS experience, strong ArcGIS and Python skills, and a proven track record of leading GIS projects.

Qualifications

5+ years of GIS experience with tools and technologies.
Minimum 1 year of GIS solution design/development including installation/configuration/administration of an enterprise GIS.
Minimum 1 year of experience leading teams and GIS projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of the Town’s GIS strategic plan and manage the Enterprise GIS system and databases.
Work with teams to document and review GIS business processes to enable workflow automation.
Identify changes to GIS software to enable seamless integration with other enterprise applications.
Develop GIS policies and standards to support GIS architecture, hardware, software and database.
Collaborate with internal users and external parties to ensure data meet standards.
Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned.
