Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking a GIS Analyst for our Iqaluit office. You will collect, process, and deliver survey, drone, and spatial data supporting Nunavut projects while connecting with Dillon’s nationwide technical network.

The role emphasizes field data collection, GIS analysis, reporting, and client collaboration in a hybrid work setting with travel to northern communities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Geography, GIS, Geomatics/Surveying, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in consulting or related northern projects.
• Proficiency with ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS Pro/Online) and Autodesk tools (Civil 3D, Revit).
• Transport Canada RPAS pilot certificate (Advanced Operations preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in field conditions and build client relationships across Nunavut.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct RPAS/drone flights and field surveys in Iqaluit and Nunavut communities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (planners, engineers, scientists, technologists).
• Develop and manage GIS systems, data standards, and reporting workflows.
• Provide GIS analysis, data management, and visualizations using ArcGIS and Power BI.
• Contribute to web/mobile GIS tools and automated reporting components.
• Research GIS software solutions to improve systems and applications.
