Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a GIS Analyst to contribute to environmental analyses and quality assurance of geospatial data for the ALTO project. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geomatics, geography, environmental science, engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of five years relevant experience, including at least three years on environmental/infrastructure projects.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise; strong Excel and Word skills.
• Advanced spatial analysis, modelling, geoprocessing, data interpretation, and QA/QC experience.
• Knowledge of public data sources in Ontario and Quebec; data quality principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced spatial analyses, geoprocessing, and modelling to support studies and decisions.
• Assess dataset completeness, accuracy, topology, attributes, coordinates, and standards compliance.

• Design and produce thematic maps and geospatial deliverables for multidisciplinary studies.
• Coordinate QC activities with GIS technicians and provide guidance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with governance, naming, metadata, and traceability procedures.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, controls, results, and decisions clearly.
