Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a GIS professional to contribute to the ALTO project within the National GIS Group. You will integrate LiDAR data, point clouds, and imagery into ArcGIS Pro, publish 3D scene layers, and optimize data for visualization in maps, web scenes, and ArcGIS applications.

Collaborating with GIS, engineering, design, and environmental teams, you will ensure data quality with checks on projection, extent, and resolution, while documenting methods and data-use limitations.

Qualifications

• A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geography, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of four years’ relevant experience, including at least two years integrating LiDAR data, point clouds, or drone imagery within a GIS environment.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online to prepare, share, and publish scene layers, imagery services, elevation services, or 3D web content.
• Strong ability to optimize 3D and raster data for visualization and delivery in ArcGIS apps.
• Knowledge of Python, ModelBuilder, or FME is an asset for automation and validation tasks.
• Proficiency in English or French; bilingualism is an asset for collaboration in Canada.

Job description

As part of the National GIS Group, you will contribute to the ALTO project’s LiDAR and drone imagery activities. Working with GIS, engineering, design, and environmental teams, you will integrate processed LiDAR data, point clouds, and imagery products into the ArcGIS environment to create, manage, and publish 2D and 3D content.
