Summary

We are seeking for a Senior Manager, Real Estate Operations, to lead the day-to-day operations of a mission‑critical Data Centre, ensuring high availability, reliability, safety, and compliance. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for managing on‑site operations and staff, overseeing incident, change, and capacity management, and partnering closely with Facilities, Network, Security, and external vendors to maintain operational excellence in a 24/7 environment. The role is customer‑facing and requires strong interpersonal skills, sound operational judgment, and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders while meeting service level, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the local Data Centre operations team, including staffing, training, on‑call coverage, succession planning, and performance management to ensure sustained operational excellence.
  • Partner with Facilities to ensure availability and reliability targets are met for all critical systems, including power, cooling, fire protection, and security.
  • Lead site‑level incident response, recovery, and post‑incident reviews, serving as the operational escalation point during major events.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities by reviewing and approving MOP, SOP, and EOP activities through established change‑control processes.
  • Monitor capacity across power, cooling, and space; plan expansions; and coordinate customer moves, adds, changes, and commissioning of new loads.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, operations, and energy efficiency, including PUE, by leveraging DCIM, operational KPIs, and best practices.
  • Support customer onboarding by contributing to design coordination and technical alignment, supporting quoting and scope definition, coordinating power, cooling, and connectivity readiness, and guiding clients through implementation milestones.
  • Serve as a customer‑facing leader for site tours, readiness reviews, incident communications, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards, leading audits, remediation activities, and business continuity planning.
  • Support site‑level financial discipline through cost optimization, maintenance prioritization, and efficiency initiatives.
Critical Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Facilities Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive experience in Data Centre operations.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in Data Centre or mission‑critical facilities environments, with demonstrated accountability for live site operations, availability, and reliability.
  • Proven experience leading and developing 24x7 operational teams, including staffing, performance management, on‑call coverage, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Strong technical understanding of Data Centre infrastructure and operations, including electrical distribution, UPS and generator systems, cooling plants, fire detection and suppression, physical security, and structured cabling.
  • Hands‑on experience with operational governance, including MOP, SOP, and EOP development, change management, risk assessment, and incident response in high‑availability environments.
  • Experience with capacity management across power, cooling, and space, including commissioning new loads and coordinating customer moves, adds, and changes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices such as Uptime Institute Tier concepts, ASHRAE thermal guidelines, security compliance requirements, DCIM usage, operational KPIs, and energy efficiency metrics (e.g., PUE).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead operational teams and engage effectively with customers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and align cross‑functional partners, including Facilities, Network, Security, and external service providers, in complex operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with a proactive approach to operational risk management, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience operating mission‑critical Data Centre facilities, working closely with Facilities and MEP teams to maintain high availability and reliability.
