Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Working closely with assigned patients to identify various reimbursement coverage options and investigate financial options for those without insurance.
- Assist with coaching and mentoring of team members.
- Manage a larger patient caseload than typical caseworkers.
- Be an expert in reimbursement within your territory.
- Support other caseworkers with complex reimbursement issues, insurance, benefit investigations, and appeals.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Provide daily support to the Associate Program Manager(s).
- Assist in preparing reports and executing program tasks.
- Develop program protocols and SOPs with management.
- Train new caseworkers, including shadowing and call monitoring.
- Interact with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and professionals to optimize reimbursement support.
- Help patients select clinics and pharmacies, and schedule appointments.
- Generate medication orders and ensure proper communication with pharmacies.
- Adhere to company processes.
- Provide telephone support for funding, access, and compliance issues, including implementing call-center programs.
- Administer case management protocols, monitor clinical data, follow-up with patients, and report adverse events.
- Participate in market research initiatives with healthcare professionals.
- Document activities in the program database.
- Attend ongoing training and courses.
- Communicate clearly with managers and colleagues about case management during absences.
- Report adverse events to relevant departments.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Experience and Educational Requirements :
- At least two years of customer service experience; experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or insurance is a plus.
- Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexible working hours (8 am to 8 pm).
- Critical thinking skills for problem-solving.
- Minimum two years experience in a patient support program.
- Call center experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage time and multi-task effectively.
- University degree in a related field or equivalent.
