Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Allied Health Staff team at Purdy Pavilions in Vancouver, BC. The role focuses on clinical education services including coaching, mentoring, staff development, and program evaluation within a client- and family-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as RN or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Three years' recent nursing experience in gerontology, including two years' experience in client education and/or group facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education services including coaching/mentoring, staff development, and evaluation of education programs.
• Consult with Clinical Nurse Specialists, Practice Leaders and long-term care teams to resolve educational issues and introduce evidence-based protocols.
• Plan and coordinate activities required for each educational assignment and promote quality improvement.
