Job summary

30 Forensic Engineering seeks a Practice Lead, Geotechnical to lead the geotechnical team and support forensic investigations for multi-disciplinary projects in Canada. Reporting to the VP, Materials, the candidate will provide technical leadership, manage complex assignments, and develop business opportunities.

The successful candidate will have 10–15 years of geotechnical consulting experience, be a licensed PEO or eligible, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Significant progressive post-degree geotechnical experience (10–15 years).
• Strong leadership, project management and client-relations capabilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario or eligible for registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geotechnical practice at the firm, directing a team and growing the practice.
• Provide technical leadership for geotechnical investigations and assignments.
• Develop and execute a business plan for Geotechnical practice aligned with firm goals.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue growth opportunities.
• Oversee projects, budgets, schedules, and reporting per client agreements.
• Mentor team members and collaborate on multidisciplinary investigations.
