Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent with laboratory experience in geotechnical testing.
• Strong Excel skills and data entry proficiency.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Conducting geotechnical laboratory testing on soils and aggregates, including proctors, sieve analysis, hydrometer testing, specific gravity, and Atterberg limits
• Performing compressive strength testing on concrete materials in accordance with applicable ASTM and CSA standards
• Entering laboratory sample information and generating worksheets using the LIMS system
• Inputting third-party laboratory results as required
• Submitting soil and concrete test results to the Quality Assurance Specialist
• Calibrating laboratory equipment (Proctor machines, sieves, ovens, scales, and molds) and completing preventative maintenance as required
• Working in a fast-paced environment while carrying out assignments with minimal supervision
