Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time Geotechnical Instrumentation & Monitoring Intermediate Field Technician to join our team in Markham, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of various geotechnical and structural instrumentation systems across multiple project sites. Your tasks will include:

• Installing and troubleshooting instruments such as vibration monitoring units, inclinometers, and settlement monitoring sensors.
• Conducting real-time monitoring for shoring, tunnel movement, noise and vibration levels, and settlement.
• Performing calibrations, preventive maintenance, and ensuring data accuracy.
• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting instrumentation data to support engineering assessments.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation, inclinometers, vibration monitoring units, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in instrument calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field conditions.
• Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
• A diploma or degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, instrumentation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
• Prior experience in construction, tunneling, or geotechnical monitoring is an asset.
