Qualifications

Job Description:

Mandarin/ English Support Engineer

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Support Engineer that is Bilingual in Mandarin and English, with experience in in cloud computing, Azure, networking, and a history of supporting Windows Servers and Linux to place at our partner a large organization that operates under a shared service model , a Big Five Tech Giant.

Client: Big Five Tech Giant, a multinational technology corporation

Terms: 12-month contract, possible extension

Location: Toronto, Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Help solve technically complex, strategic, high-profile or long-running customer cases that may require interaction with Software Engineering
  • Responsible for the customer support experience with Microsoft
  • Own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues, using collaboration, troubleshooting best practices and transparency within and across teams (e.g. swarming)
  • Identify cases that require escalation (either technically or strategically)
  • Create and maintain incident management requests to product group or engineering group
  • Contribute to case deflection initiatives, automation and other digital self-help assets to improve customer and engineer experience
  • Provide ramp activities, knowledge sharing, technical coaching and mentoring
  • Drive technical collaboration and engagement outside of CSS (Product Engineering teams, Services, Support, Regions)
  • Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles; may be workload or specialty specific
  • Supporting a suite of cloud computing products that focus on security, compliance, identity and management for big enterprises.
  • Simultaneously handling 10 to 20 customer cases in Mandarin, resolving them within deadlines and quality standards. These roles will not support customers in English.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • Minimum 3+ years experience with at least one of the 3 categories described below (Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Kubernetes or Azure Data & AI)
  • Fluent speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin and English
  • Microsoft Azure architecture and its components (Fabric, Compute, Storage)
  • Operating System & Networking
