Job summary

A leading consultancy firm is looking for a Mining/Civil Field Technologist in Saskatoon to oversee operations maintenance and surveillance monitoring at mine sites and civil projects. This role requires working independently in challenging environments while ensuring adherence to health safety policies. Candidates should have a Technical Diploma in relevant fields and experience in geotechnical testing. The position demands flexibility with travel and a strong focus on safety and quality assurance in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience including mine driving is considered an asset.
• Professional designation with ASET or ASTTBC is considered an asset.
• Prior experience working in Northern Canada is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete operations maintenance and surveillance monitoring tasks.
• Monitor geotechnical parameters and ensure quality control.
• Complete advanced soil sampling and compaction testing.

Skills

Geotechnical material testing

Standard First Aid Level C with AED

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ability to work in extreme weather

Ability to read design drawings

Education

Post-Secondary Technical Diploma in geological, geotechnical, civil or mining disciplines
