Job summary

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Mining/Civil Field Technologist to join their team in Saskatoon. You will be responsible for monitoring geotechnical parameters, completing soil sampling, and ensuring a safe work environment. The role requires a minimum post-secondary diploma and experience in the field. This is a primarily field-based position, with responsibilities including participation in safety initiatives and troubleshooting technical issues on-site.

Qualifications

• Must have Standard First Aid Level C with AED, CSTS, and H2S Alive.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License with current Driver's Abstract.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring geotechnical parameters at active mine sites.
• Completing soil sampling and compaction testing.
• Identifying and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions.

Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Safety protocols knowledge

Education

Post-Secondary Technical Diploma in geological, geotechnical, civil, or mining disciplines

Tools

Geotechnical material testing equipment
