Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geotechnical EIT or early career professional to join our Edmonton team. You will engage in hands-on field investigations, lab testing, and reporting, supported by a local team of geotechnical engineers and technologists.

This role offers exposure to a variety of projects designed to improve local infrastructure and sustainability. You will work under senior engineers to develop your skills, gain practical experience, and contribute to geotechnical analyses, data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in geotechnical engineering or related field.
  • EIT status or early career professional in geotechnical engineering preferred.
  • Ability to perform field investigations and laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations and collect field data in Edmonton area.
  • Perform laboratory tests to determine soil characteristics and material properties.
  • Prepare technical reports and assist with project proposals and cost estimates.

The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of over 30 geotechnical engineers and technologists based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical engineers.

Your opportunity:
  • Hands-On Experience:Conduct a variety of field work including geotechnical site investigations, instrument monitoring, and construction reviews and/or quality tests. Perform laboratory tests to determine soil characteristics and gain familiarity with local materials. Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary:
