About the Role

Pinchin’s Geotechnical Practice across Canada is rapidly expanding. We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Calgary or Edmonton. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a culture that values work/life balance, professional development, and community involvement.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with engineers and technicians on geotechnical projects.
  2. Manage small to medium projects; assist with larger ones.
  3. Oversee geotechnical investigations, including fieldwork, subcontractors, budgets, and schedules.
  4. Perform engineering design and assessments such as foundation design, slope stability, and settlement analysis.
  5. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
  6. Prepare geotechnical reports and memorandums.
  7. Support client management and business development efforts.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering or related field.
  • Intermediate experience in geotechnical engineering with project management skills.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) membership or eligibility in Alberta.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven technical writing abilities for reports and correspondence.
